iframe ad as preroll

Postby Loktar » Wed Jan 13, 2010 6:40 pm

Hi there,

Is it possible to have something like

Code: Select all
<iframe src="http://xx.xx.com/hosted/trailers/hd_generator.php?id=xxxx&sitecode=sl&girl=xxx" style="height:432px; width:768px;" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>

As a preroll/postroll ad in your nice player ?

If so, i would buy instantly.

Thanls for help.

Player is flash application.
Flash doesn't understand and use HTML tags or code, apart of few formatting tags for text.
Concerns every flash player, every flash application.

Some people still do not believe it as sometimes they can see some html ads or other html on player.
Then answer is: this is always html trick, which overlays some html on top of flash object.
But definetely is not reachable from inside of flash source code.

Answering to your iframe question. None player is able to understand iframe as preroll or postroll ad.
I do not even know what is your iframe. If it is text or picture, if it has lot of html.
Using iframe as preroll/postroll as html trick would be possible, but requires both: flash and html adjustment and is not what we offer.
We did thousands jobs for people, but in 99% building completely custom projects for single clients is far from being profitable for our time and efforts.

I'm not sure if I understood.... Iframe cannot be FLV.
Maybe you mean that FLV is inside iframe.....
Then can't you exctract FLV from iframe and send it as preroll?
FLV vids are allowed as preroll and postroll

You may also miss it with SWF. Unfortunately SWF is not suggested as preroll/postroll.
Player has own framerate, each SWF can have it completely different.
