possible LIGHTTPD issues

As we have some experience with installing lighttp server, there are few things that I feel I should share with clipshare or AVS users.

Once lighttpd server installed and mod flv-streaming activated, you can expect FLV videos streamed and be allowed to seek any time position regardless of video download status.
But to have such feature first FLV video must have information about keyframes.
Usually such information is added automatically during conversion proccess using MetaData Injector tool for FLV - flvtool2 or yamdi.
So be sure that your MetaData Injector is working for uploaded videos.
ALso if you upload videos in other than standard web UPLOAD way - don't forget about inserting requsted metadata.
It can be also done using desktop free tool flvmdi (http://www.buraks.com/flvmdi/)

Another problem is with h264 encoded (HD) videos.
Such encoded videos are in fact mp4 files, even if it have flv file extension.
There's no need to inject such files with MetaData.
However with such files you will not be able to jump any time position until another lighttpd h264-streaming mod installed and activated.
Also if you decide to use mod-secdownload to protect your videos against hot-linking, remember it must be listed above streaming mods in your lighttpd config file.

Nuevoplayer streams very well videos using lighttpd streaming mods, but lighttpd mods must be installed correctly and your videos must have enough information to jump video keyframes.
If you don't feel enough experienced with lighttpd installation - we are open to install it for you!
If you find another installation service - that's fine - you only must be sure so other service is enough experienced with video streaming issues, eg. h264 streaming, as later it will be hard to find anyone willing to correct/update such installation.
Thank you,
